Mariposa Port of Entry in Nogales, Arizona
Pascetti Steel Design is currently under contract fabricating and installing powder-coated steel casework frames, stainless steel acoustic panels and stainless steel pedestrian inspection kiosks at the new Mariposa Land Port of Entry (Mariposa LPOE) in Nogales, AZ. The Mariposa LPOE is currently the second-largest construction project in AZ history! The new buildings are approximately 216,000 gross square feet, and the entire site encompasses 54 acres. This project is LEED® Platinum certified, utilizing energy-efficient technologies throughout. According to the U.S. General Services Administration website, the Mariposa LPOE is one of the United States’ busiest land ports, serving as the main entry point for fresh produce entering Mexico. Completion of the project is anticipated to be August 2014.
